We updated our store yesterday and a couple of further updates were applied earlier today. The store will be offline for a further couple of hours this morning.
When we established Pyre Studios it was with a view to creating and publishing the games we wanted to play. The retail side of this was a means to an end rather than the end in itself and while this will continue we are delighted to announce our first 5 projects. These are all between 25 and 60% complete and are all being in actively developed.
We are continuously looking for writers, artists and sculptors so if you would like to get involved or know someone who would then please drop us a line at email@example.com.
We’ll be kicking off another round of playtesting within the next 4-6 weeks so if you’d be interested in assisting us with these endeavours drop us a line too
1. Project Mule
A non-collectable card game set in a unique and fascinating world. Players vie for economic power while their “colleagues” assist or hinder them to achieve their own goals. We’ve nominated our artist and writer and after some initial teething issues we seem on track for development.
2. Project Verdigris
A small scale historical skirmish wargame designed for fast play where games last 30mins to an hour. It is scenario driven with what we like to think are some pretty nifty mechanics. While it will be focused on using miniatures in the 15mm to 20mm band there will be conversion rules for larger scales
3. Project Iron
A historical board game in the same vein as Blood Royal and Diplomacy. We’ve been hired to write and managed the development of this game from concept to release. It will be based on the founding, ruling and, more importantly, keeping of a small kingdom.
4. Project Gust
A fantasy miniatures line set within our own IP. We have currently teased out 16 of the 36 concepts but much more work to be done on this as the year progresses. We’ll be starting to look for artists, sculptors and casters soon. Know anyone?
5. Project Giant
A basing line that we’ve been working on for 6 months now. Production will start within the next 3 months though this project will be the most flexible in terms of starting date.
